Food on buffet was burned. Not worth the price. Won't come back.
These people are con artists. My friend and I were coming from out of town and stopped at Hunan's around noon. No one greeted us, but we found a stack of menus on the front counter, grabbed a couple and found a seat. A gray-haired waitress came to our table and we both ordered the lunch special. Lunch is $5.49 and the dinner price starts after 3:30 p.m. at $7.49. The food was OK. A little bit greasy but average at best. I told my friend, "Hey. At least it's only $5.49. You get what you pay for, I guess." Anyway, when the waitress handed us our check, I noticed the total was over $16. I told the waitress that we ordered the lunch special and that it was still well before dinner time. She said OK but to talk to the lady at the counter who she claimed was the restaurant owner. When we went up to the counter and discussed the matter with the owner, the owner said we had the WRONG menus and that those menus stacked on the counter were 10-15 YEARS OLD. She grabbed the stack of menus and hid them under the counter. Then she took a pen and crossed off the prices on the menu that my friend was holding. I was completely baffled that someone would do something like this so I called the waitress over hoping she would knock some sense into the owner. Instead, she sided with the owner (I'm assuming it's a family business and they're all related) and then LIED TO MY FACE by telling me she never said that was the lunch special and that those menus were wrong. I said, "Then why did you tell us it was correct when we sat down?" She replied, "I never said that." I was inferiorated and told them that my friend and I were not going to pay this new price they made up. We called the police department to have an officer intervine. The officer told my friend and I that even though the restuarant owners might have lied to us, there was nothing legally he could do and that we had to pay the price they demanded. He also told us to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I'm still in utter disbelief that two grown adult women would lie and deceit their patrons because they're desperate for money. I read a recent review of this place on TripAdvisor and a women claimed they mistreated a paraplegic man and his service dog. Why am I not surprised? The worst restaurant experience I ever had. This is definitely a tourist trap. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy bland, greasy food and being manipulated.
It was the only place was opened on Christmas day! Thank you so much for saving us during our long trip! Everything was close, and we were really starving! Food is amazing! Even my kids loved it!
My family loves to come here to eat... lots of variety and the staff here is very awesome!
Decent food... Definitely depends on what time you go... Off hours food sits a little long..
